Well, here we are in the middle of a snowpocalypse or snowmageddon if you prefer. I have no doubts that we will get lots of snow here, but I'm not sure I think we will really like 23" of snow. Maybe I just don't want to even entertain the idea of that much snow. This time of year I'm already itching for spring. The cold, bleh, grey days have worn out their welcome and more snow is just something that makes me cringe at this point.
As you can tell, I haven't been out shooting a darn thing. Without Project Double Take this winter, there has been nothing to push my butt outside into the cold. So, I hope you will forgive my absence on this blog and except my apologies in the form a pretty and much warmer seasoned new desktop calendar for the month of February.
Besides, February is a good month despite its tendancy to still be a wintery month. After all, there is warm and snuggly Valentines Day and of course, my birthday. And we all know cake makes everything better, especially when it's your own birthday cake, minus all those candles, of course.
So to help you make it through this cold, still clinging to winter, month, I'm sharing a shot I took at Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan last August. This shot is from a dock on the beach looking over Lake Michigan. My husband and I sat on adirondac chairs on the dock watching the waves crash and the sunset. It was warm, quiet, and peaceful. I can't wait for more days like this soon.
