Happy May Day, my friends! As a little treat to the start of your month, here is May's Desktop Calendar for you! I took this just a week ago here in Peoria. I have been driving by this field for a couple of weeks and the purple clover was just amazing! I had to stop one day and capture it's purple glory. Think of it as a little May flower gift from me to you.
To get your own, simply click the size you want below and set as your background however you do Mac and PC people. I have 4 widths for you this month.
As a little sidenote, I thought I should also mention that back in Iowa (this is for my Illinois friends who have no idea what I am talking about) we celebrate May Day as kids by filling up bags or baskets with popcorn and candy and running up to a friends house, ringing the bell, leaving the goodies and running! I was trying to explain this to some coworkers here and I got blank stares of confusion. So, here is a little wikipedia info so you don't think I am crazy.
"May Day was also celebrated by some early European settlers of the American continent. In some parts of the United States, May Baskets are made. These baskets are small and usually filled with flowers or treats and left at someone's doorstep. The basket giver would ring the bell and run away. The person receiving the basket would try to catch the fleeing giver. If they caught the person, a kiss was to be exchanged." - Wikepdia: May Day
And since I can't send you popcorn through my blog, I hope my desktop calendar will bring you cheer for May Day instead. =)
